Amsterdam Light Festival will return from 27 November 2025 to 18 January 2026! The 14th edition will come with new artworks, specially made for the festival. The Amsterdam canals will be filled with light art, floating and dangling, and this beautiful scenery will be filled with bright shining pieces of art. There will be special routes for canal boats, and LOVERS canal cruises offers the most comfortable views of this spectacle.

The theme of this year's Amsterdam Light Festival artworks is Rituals. This theme fits perfectly with the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam. Indeed, all over the world, light is a common feature of rituals, especially when it comes to celebrating and commemorating moments. There are fireworks at New Year's Eve, Easter fires, candles on birthday cakes, as well as candles in church.
